Living off the grid and trying to become more self-reliant means we're gardening more than ever before. Yet we're continually challenged by the realities of gardening in Canada's subarctic. We're learning about an extremely short growing season, poor soil quality, and frigid temperatures. Not to mention learning about gardening in almost 24-hours of daylight during the summer!
