Best Renovated Camper Ideas

The layout of this travel trailer is almost identical to ours, and there's so much I love about this Boho style, especially the sliding barn doors under the tv and the remodelled wood countertops.

When we replaced the Queen RV bed in our travel trailer with a better mattress for my back, the sliding doors on the trailer wouldn't, well, slide. So we removed them. For now we just hung plain curtains on a tension rod, but I love this easy camper curtain sewing tutorial! So I'm adding it to my list of sewing projects for 2023.

I loved seeing how this blogger renovated her camper to include a permanent craft space with room for her sewing machine and fabric supplies. If you're planning to live in your camper, think about your hobbies and making space for them.

So the bunkie room in our travel trailer sleeps four. But we bought it used and the bunkbed ladder was missing. Last summer, we just used a small step ladder that Dan stored under the trailer. But I love this DIY ladder - it would take up a lot less storage room.

I loved the ideas from this 16-foot camper because they were inexpensive and practical. after reading this post, I hit the dollar store for pool noodles, plastic covers, and stick-on mirrors to add a few quick fixes to our own trailer.

Weight is always an issue with campers and travel trailers. Our own camper is over 12,000 pounds as it has the winter Arctic insulation pack. So adding mirrors would add a ton of weight. These stick-on mirror tiles look like a good, light-weight mirror option.

Storage and shelf space is another issue in our trailer. The four of us spent 6 weeks living in it last summer. So this hanging shelf tutorial came in handy!

So our kitchen sink has the original faucet, and I bookmarked this post because I thought we needed a replacement. Ours was stiff and sticking and I thought it was leaking. However, Dan used some WD-40 and soon had it working just fine. So it will do for at least a couple more years.

LOVE this idea for storing away boots, shoes, and flip flops on the wall where we enter our camper. We have the same setup, and I'll be adding these baskets (again, from the dollar store) to ours this spring.

Another great example of how a coat of fresh paint, some new pulls and new fabric can totally change the look of a camper!

This post makes my list of best-renovated campers because of the colorful fabrics! While we are fine with the pine laminate wood accents we currently have, the girls wanted their bunkie space to be a bit more cheerful. So we are working on sewing up a few bright bolsters and flag banners for our 2023 camping season.

So I'm not a fan of carpet in an RV. Especially with kids. Everything gets sandy and/or muddy. And at the moment we also have a massive split in the vinyl flooring in our kitchen. This post offers a great tutorial with useful pics and step-by-step instructions for installing new RV flooring.

Now this RV got a MAJOR renovation and it is truly worth a look. I was inspired by the white-on-white, the light wood accents up above, and I love the flooring too. Although the white couch just wouldn't work with my own crew - we tend to track in mud and leaves etc. But this sure looks pretty.

Now this example of a renovated camper made my list because it didn't require much construction. Just basically painting surfaces and walls in light shades made a dramatic difference.
